Community members attended the Budget Town Hall Meeting at Jimmie Tyler Brashear Elementary School this evening.
After a power-point presentation of the DRAFT 2013-2014 Budget, stakeholders asked questions, raised concerns and made suggestions.
There was interaction between the audience and presenter and among participants. Everyone received a copy of the presentation.
Finance Department staff presented and provided budget information. Communications staff managed logistics and hospitality.
It was helpful to see parents, teachers, administrators and community members there to get information about the present stage of development of the 2013-2014 projected $1,189,622,370.00 budget for Dallas ISD .
The final Budget is scheduled to be adopted by the Board of Trustees at the monthly Board meeting on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
