Former First Lady Laura Bush, who before
becoming a famous librarian, was once a student in a Southern
Methodist University children’s literature course taught by her former teacher, Dr.
Harryette Ehrhardt. Mrs.
Bush told how Professor Ehrhardt instilled in her a love for literature and
children’s books.

Students
served as helpers, presenters and performers,
including: the Kimball
High School JROTC Color Guard --
Maj. Johnny Manson, Director; The ZWH Middle School Musical
Ensemble and
Lionettes Dance Team – Yolanda Burton, Director; and student
Shantee Alexander
who introduced Mrs.
Bush.
