Dear Family of the Honorable Albert Louis Lipscomb:

Last Saturday the spirit of our courageous Brother Al Lipscomb joined centuries of fighters for justice and equality who made their transitions before.

Please accept my deep condolences on the passing of your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Like so many who valued him, I was deeply saddened to learn of his home-going and immediately felt the void of his presence, the silence of his voice because he is no longer physically here with us.

Al Lipscomb stood tall for all people, especially those who could not or would not stand for themselves. He didn’t just tell, but he showed what it means to give service that improves communities and helps all to live better, together.

For so many powerful deeds, words and thoughts, he will be remembered, admired and appreciated. It was an honor to have had his support and words of encouragement. We are blessed because he was here.

I am certain that fond, vivid memories will make you smile through many tears.

Thank you for allowing Dallas to share and benefit from some of Brother Al Lipscomb's time and purpose. He knew what it was and used his time to fulfill it.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

God bless,

Carla Ranger
District 6 Trustee
