Putting Education First
Today the 2011 Learning for Life Character Luncheon was held at Noon. Learning for Life currently serves 20,637 youth in 22 Dallas Independent Schools, 22 Educational First Step Centers, two private schools, two Texas Youth Commission Facilities, and one High School.
Four students were honored as winners - three students from Dallas ISD.
It was my pleasure to present the winners of the annual "What Does Character Mean To Me?" essay contest. Each student received a $1000.00 Savings bond, a Learning for Life Medal and a Certificate.
